How we got started?

It all begins with an idea. For me it started around 2014-2015 thinking about how I could use my skills to help those who are in need around me. At that time my skill were very limited. I knew I loved working on cars and helping others. After finding out that a friend of mine helped start a ministry where they fix and donate cars to people in need I knew I wanted to do something very similar.

Over the last 7 years God has given me direction for my passions and talents and that has changed the very purpose and goal of the ministry. God developed and changed how I wanted to help people. I didn’t want to just help in one area in life and be done. I wanted to create a pathway for people to walk to get them out of a perpetual state of dependence on others and onto living a life of independence in Christ! I determined the main things someone needs to be self sufficient. A home, job, transportation, financial training and help in other areas of life to make them successful. Then it hit me! This is impossible! How do I even begin to start this? When will I have time? Would people even want my help? As I struggled with these thoughts I was consistently reminded of Matthew 17:20 "For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." . Thus the name was born Moving Mountains Ministries. I believed that nothing is impossible when you have God on your side.

Our goal at Moving Mountains is to do the impossible and take broken, hurting, desperate people to a place of healing, comfort, and peace. Doing so by walking with them throughout their hurts, struggles, and pains.
